Resourcing Women of the North to Celebrate QLD Women's Week

15 Feb 2016

More than one hundred local women will celebrate Queensland’s Women’s Week in style on the 12th of March in Mareeba. Over dinner, ladies from all walks of life will engage with local inspirational women.   The Resourcing Women of the North Team are putting together another amazing program to inspire women who have an interest in a broad area of topics including sustainable agriculture, business management and careers and the opportunities and challenges for these in our region.

Tickets for the dinner will be available to the general public from the 23rd of February through Eventbrite, with free tickets distributed through local high schools to Year 12 students, and Mareeba Information and Support Centre will distribute subsidised tickets to low income earners.

Resourcing Women of the North Steering Committee in partnership with Northern Gulf Resource Management Group, Mareeba Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and Mareeba Information and Support Centre have successfully obtained funding for this event from the Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, with the support of YWCA Queensland.

The Dinner is to be held at the Mareeba Leagues Club on Saturday 12th March, kicking off at 6pm with drinks, nibbles and networking on the Deck.  The full program & a link to ticket sales will be available on the Northern Gulf Resource Management Group’s website in coming days or follow the event on Facebook Alternatively, phone Vickie Mylrea at Northern Gulf: 07 40921088
