General Meeting: Chillagoe, Aug 2017

Northern Gulf are pleased to invite you to our second General Meeting of the year.

There's plenty for everyone over two action-packed days of speakers and roundtable discussions. The event is being hosted in collaboration with the Gulf Cattleman's Association and the Mitchell River Watershed Management Group.

Members of these groups and the public are welcome to join our General Meetings, participate in a wide range of talks and presentations, and socialise and network with fellow residents of the Gulf region.

Over 30 presenters from research, community and management organisations will be on hand update you on issues in the region, discuss current projects, and introduce you to training and economic opportunities.

The event kicks off with Welcome to Country on Monday 14 August at 8:30 am and finishes on Tuesday 15 August at 4:45 pm at the Chillagoe Observatory and Eco Lodge.

Monday night features a VIP gala dinner at the Chillagoe Cockatoo (Bottom Pub), hosted by the Gulf Cattleman’s Association and the Chillagoe Chamber of Commerce. A presentation on Brooklyn Station will be given and the 1990 classic "Running the River" will be screened during the event.

The Northern Gulf General Meeting (organisational business and briefings) is set for 0900-11:00 Tuesday morning (15th).
