Northern Gulf Resource Management Group will be hosting a one-day Irrigation System Performance and Scheduling Workshop on the 17th of November. This event is open to all irrigators in the region, at a nominal cost of $5.

The workshop will be presented by Irrigation Specialist Pat Daley from Daley’s Water Services.

Pat Daley is an independent irrigation and energy consultant with 40 years experience in designing, installing and managing irrigation systems for better energy and water use efficiency. 

It centers on irrigation management and ways to improve irrigation efficiencies. The workshop will include an introduction to the process taken for irrigation system assessments specific for the local area and Irrigation Australia Limited Standards & Codes of Practice.

A demonstration of the Knowledge Management System for Irrigation (KMSI) tools developed by the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture for irrigation management will also be held. The Irrigation System Performance and Scheduling Workshop is funded through both the Queensland Government Regional NRM Investment Program and the Federal Government National Landcare Program.
